Attendance Policy and Missed Class Times

  • Your registration reserves you a scheduled time slot and benefits within the studio. A student who does not attend a class will miss the benefit of that class. There will not be any make-up lessons when canceled by the student.
  • However:
    • It might be possible to attend during another student’s missed time. Check the studio web calendar for cancellations. If a time is available, the student name will be followed by the word “canceled”. I mark them when I receive 24 hours notice. Text or email me to request the canceled time. If it is still available by the time I receive the message I will respond to let you know you have been scheduled for that new time.

Please be aware that most class times are missed with less than 24 hours notice and many, many times with less than 10 minutes notice so there will be very few opportunities to make up a class by checking for cancellations – but some weeks there are a lot of lessons missed due to family vacations so it’s worth a try!

    • You could possibly trade lesson times with someone in case of illness or vacation. It is the responsibility of the students or parents to arrange these trades. Please inform me of any changes. (Each student requires individualized prep time). Should 2 people arrive at once, I will teach the one whose lesson is normally at that time.
  • If you cannot attend a lesson please let me know or I will worry. If I must miss a lesson I will call and reschedule with you.
  • Summary: Just as there are no refunds or make-up classes in a private school or college, there are no refunds or make-up classes when enrolled as a student at this studio.
